Creamy Cajun Pasta
Creamy Cajun Pasta is a flavorful and satisfying dish that brings together a perfect blend of spice and creaminess. Linguine is tossed with sautéed bell peppers, mushrooms, juicy chicken, shrimp, and savory andouille sausage, all seasoned with a bold Cajun spice mix. Finished with rich heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, this pasta is a quick and delicious meal that’s packed with bold flavors and perfect for any night of the week.
Creamy Cajun Pasta
Ingredients
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, stem and seeds removed, chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper, stem and seeds removed, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and sliced
- 12-16 medium shrimp, uncooked and deveined, thawed
- 2 andouille sausage links, precooked and sliced
- 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese (more for topping if desired)
Directions
- Boil water in medium pot and add linguine pasta. Cook for 9-10 minutes.
- While pasta is cooking, I cook the chicken in an air fryer set to 400 degrees for 11 minutes. You can also choose to use baked, grilled, or sautéed chicken.
- Heat large skillet on medium heat. Add olive oil and peppers and mushrooms. Cook for 6-7 minutes.
- Add shrimp and sausage to skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add chicken to skillet.
- Add cajun seasoning and make sure all food is coated.
- Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Set heat to low-medium and continue mixing for a couple minutes.
- Top with more parmesan cheese if desired.
