The Best Galentine’s Day Party Ideas
Invite All Your Favorite Gal Pals
The first step in how to throw a Galentine’s Day Party is obviously inviting all of your favorite girlfriends. This is the perfect opportunity to catch up with all of them and celebrate your friendship. You can choose to send out a simple Facebook invite or Evite invitation, giving your friends all the information they need for the party.
Or you can go the extra mile and send out cute paper invitations! Get crafty by making your own using cardstock, stickers, and other fun Valentine’s Day themed supplies. You can also can order some seriously cute invites off Etsy that your friends are sure to love.
Decide on a Fun Theme
The second step is deciding on a fun theme for your party. This can be as simple as serving brunch, or you can go all out with a “Brunch at Tiffany’s” theme! I went with a “Mean Girls” theme for our last party and it was so much fun! Here is a list of more themes you could do:
- Friends TV Show
- Pajama Party
- Sex & The City
- Favorite Rom-Com
- 80s Party (or any decade)
Whatever theme you decide to go with, make sure you also have an awesome playlist to go with it! Check out this list from Spotify.
Set Up The Perfect Decorations
The third step is to set up the perfect decorations for your party. This can be as simple or as extravagant as you want it to be. If your theme is simple, I recommend sticking with traditional Valentine’s Day colors. It’s so festive and will really set the mood for your party. I stumbled across some Galentine’s Day decorations at Target dollar spot, but you can find them anywhere. Here are some really cute ones from Amazon.
When I chose the “Mean Girls” theme for my party, I started by decorating all the cups with funny sayings from the movie. There are A LOT, so it was perfect. Then I created a Burn Book that included all the girls coming to the party. It took some time to find old pictures of them and write funny messages, but it was worth it for all the laughs! I also decided to get into character by cutting holes in my tank top, like Regina George, which had everyone cracking up.
Create The Perfect Menu
The fourth step is to create the perfect menu for your party. Go over what food and drinks you’ll be serving, as well as any special recipes that will be made. I love doing brunch themed parties because it makes things so easy. I ask a few people to bring something savory, a few to bring something sweet, and the rest are in charge of champagne!
If you decide on brunch, you could make cute little waffles with the Dash Mini Heart Waffle Maker or you could try any of these delicious recipes:
Plan Fun Games To Play
The fifth and final step is to plan fun games to play at your party. This can be anything from a trivia game to a DIY photo booth. I chose to split everyone into teams and play Mean Girls Trivia. Everyone had an absolute blast trying to remember things from the movie.
