Healthy Meal Prep Smoothies
First- I’m going to show y’all what ingredients I use to prep my smoothies! I buy my frozen fruit in bulk from Costco. I prefer the Frozen Triple Berry Blend and the Frozen Festival Blend (Tropical). I also buy bananas and a large container of spinach from Costco. These are the main ingredients for the smoothies I make most often.
Next- I have my cute little helper assist me in putting together my smoothie bags 🙂 I use Reusable Freezer Bags from Amazon. These silicone bags are perfect for smoothie prep and just a one-time purchase! I like the sandwich size best, but they have a variety of sizes to choose from. I try to put together 20 bags, so that I’m set for the month (I won’t drink one every single day).
Recipes
I’ve tried out several different recipes, but I usually stick with these 3 when I make them ahead of time. I only add the fruit and spinach to the freezer bag. I add in the liquid and powders when I go to blend them. If you choose to omit the powders altogether, it will still taste fine!
BERRY BANANA BLAST
- 1 1/2 cups plain almond milk
- 2 tsp Forever Beautiful Mix
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
- 1 cup Frozen Triple Berry Blend
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 tbsp peanut butter (optional)
TROPICAL DELIGHT
- 1 1/2 cups plain almond milk (or coconut water)
- 1 tsp Forever Beautiful Mix
- 1 tsp Super Green Mix
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
- 1/2 cup Frozen Festival Tropical Blend
- 1/2 cup Frozen Triple Berry Blend
- 1 cup spinach
GREEN GODDESS
- 1 1/2 cups coconut water
- 2 tsp Super Green Mix
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
- 1 cup Frozen Festival Tropical Blend
- 1/2 avocado or banana
- 1 cup spinach
Note: I also add (or switch up) different mixes in the smoothies, such as, Skinny Protein, Energy Bomb, and Moon Balance.
Last up- it’s time for a quick Grab & Blend! When I’m ready for a smoothie, I add in the liquid first. I always go with plain almond milk or coconut water. Next- I put in my powders according to the recipe I’m making. I love the Superfood Mixes from Your Super. They provide clean nutrients to improve your health and they taste great! And if you use code TAKEITFROMJESS15 you’ll receive 15% off your order! I also use Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, which provide collagen, protein, vitamin c, and hyaluronic acid. This helps support the immune system, hair/skin/bone health, and promotes hydrated skin.
Then- I dump in the contents of my freezer bag (and squeeze in peanut butter if necessary). Y’all- when I found out about Jif Squeeze Peanut Butter it was a game changer, lol. I blend everything for about 30-45 seconds, adding in more liquid if needed. And that’s it!
Smoothies are a great way to get in your servings of fruit, veggies, and protein. And when you add in Superfoods from Your Super, you’re improving your health even more! There are also other ways to use these mixes so be sure to check out their website or send me a message! They have several Bundle options to choose from and a money-back guarantee!
I also feel like I’m always on the go- so I usually put my smoothies in a Blender Bottle. Even though I’ve already blended the ingredients, I can continue to shake up the powders as I drink. You certainly don’t need to use these, but my husband uses them for his protein shakes, and I’ve grown to like them too 🙂
Here are a couple more recipes to give you even more ideas when making your Protein Smoothie. I don’t prep these in advance, but I like to switch things up every now and then with these two smoothies.
