Baked Spaghetti Pie

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 parmesan cheese
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion (optional)
  • 1 jar pasta sauce (I use Prego)
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • shredded mozzarella cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil water in medium pot.
  2. Add spaghetti to boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  3. While spaghetti is cooking, heat a skillet on medium heat.
  4. Add ground beef to skillet and cook until browned.
  5. Drain spaghetti and put back in pot. Add butter, parmesan cheese, and eggs. Mix well.
  6. Add pasta sauce (and onion) to skillet and combine with beef.
  7. Put spaghetti mixture in baking dish and pat down (should have enough room for sauce mixture on top).
  8. Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti mixture.
  9. Spread sauce mixture over cottage cheese.
  10. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 17 minutes. Switch oven to broil and bake for another 3 minutes.
