Motherhood is full of responsibilities and feeling like there’s not enough time in the day. I often find myself saying things like “We are just so busy…” or “I’d love to catch up when we have time…” But I often find I don’t have a lot of time.
These simple suggestions are all about working smarter, not harder. They are designed to help you do more in less time and increase your productivity. We know that feeling relaxed and being present is the best way to live our lives, but we also have a constant desire to do more things and always be on the go.
By utilizing some of these time-saving tips, you can take back control of your time, be more productive, and hopefully find a little more time to relax!

1. Prep School Lunches in Advance
Take a few minutes each night and prep your child’s lunch for the next day. This will save you time and won’t cause added stress if something unexpected happens in the morning. It will also help ensure that your child has a healthy meal to take to school. Don’t forget to prep your own lunch too!
2. Get Up Early
This may not be possible every day, but getting up even 30 minutes earlier can make a big difference. Use this time to enjoy a cup of coffee, read the paper, or just take some time for yourself. You’ll be surprised how much more productive you can be when you start your day with a little me-time.

This helps me stay on task and not get overwhelmed.

Calendars are a great way to keep track of what’s going on and make sure you’re not over-scheduling yourself. I like to use a physical calendar that I can hang on the wall. This helps me see at a glance what’s going on each day, week, and month. This magnetic calendar is also great for weekly planning that the whole family can see.
I also love to create documents and spreadsheets in Google, so that I can keep things organized and available no matter where I am.
12. Make Sheet Pan Dinners
Sheet pan dinners are a time saver because they require minimal effort and cleanup. Simply put all of your ingredients on a baking sheet and bake! This is a great way to make a quick and healthy meal when you don’t have a lot of time.
